How-to: Opening an order in PV1
Navigate from the PV1 queue to the Prescription Verification page.
Steps
1. Locate the order in the Results Table
From the PV1 queue, find the order you want to verify. Use the Order Search Panel if needed.
2. Click the Order ID
Click the Order ID link in the first column to open the order.
3. Go to PV1
On the order page, click the Go to PV1 button in the status banner to open the Prescription Verification page.
4. Review the Prescription Verification page
The Prescription Verification page displays all panels needed to verify the prescription.
1. Event Verification Checklist — Six checklist items pharmacists must verify before approving the prescription.
2. Tracking Information — Prescription ID, Fill ID, patient, prescriber, and shipping details.
3. Medication Information — Full prescription details including medication, strength, form, quantity, and SIG.
4. Fills History — Previous fills for this patient.
5. Patient Allergy/Medical History — Known allergies and medical history for context.
6. Drug Allergy Interactions — Check for interactions between prescribed medication and patient allergies.
7. Drug-Drug Interactions — Check for interactions between multiple prescribed medications.
8. Reject Rx Verification — Option to reject the prescription with a reason and assignment.
