PV1

overview

PV1 (Pharmacist Verification 1) is the queue where pharmacists verify prescription orders before they advance to the next stage. Orders appear here once all intake requirements are completed in Incoming Orders. Only pharmacists can work in this queue.

What happens in PV1

Pharmacists review and verify:

Event Verification Checklist — Six required verification steps including DUR (Drug Utilization Review), patient information confirmation, prescription legibility, allergy review, and therapeutic duplication check.

Medication Information — Complete prescription details including medication name, strength, dosage, quantity, and dispensing instructions.

Interaction Checks — Drug allergy interactions and drug-drug interactions to ensure patient safety.

Patient Background — Fills history and allergy/medical history for context.

1. Order Search Panel — Filter orders by patient name, DOB, phone, Order ID, or Fill ID.

2. Search Results Table — List of orders with Pending Pv1 status. Click an Order ID to open the order.

After PV1

Once a prescription is verified, the order advances to Pending Payment.

Patients are notified later in the process — only after the order completes Pending Payment and only when the patient is the Payor.
